An educational workbook for EMDR patients, designed to track sessions and support trauma treatment. It includes explanations, meditation, breathing, and writing exercises, plus journaling spaces to monitor progress. The visuals were created to convey calm while addressing sensitive topics, focusing on healing rather than distress. A nature-inspired palette of blue, green, and beige enhances this feeling. Illustrations, made through analog and digital collage, use silhouettes to ensure gender-neutral representation and encourage personal connection.
The most interesting thing about working on this project is that when I went through a period of post-traumatic stress, I was able to heal myself with EMDR. I have personally experienced the fears, insecurities, and anxieties that a patient feels before and during this treatment, as well as the relief that comes with completing it. Creating this project while considering these feelings was a natural process. Being able to transform this personal experience into something that helps others heal their traumas is extremely rewarding.
